How I loooooove that song!!!!!!! Today has been a very odd day. I went out with a friend earlier and found the two bookcases that I have been searching for, forever at a price that I could validate. Score!
I came home and fell out completely. I woke up not knowing if it was still Saturday or I had slept for 24 hours. Getting that deep of rest, invaluable!
Another friend came by and took me out for a bite to eat at a local restaurant. It was super busy b/c apparently there was a huge pub crawl tonight. I was grateful that I am no longer am "in the know" about that kinda stuff and just enjoyed the company of my friend and the food. It was kinda perfect b/c he got a steak and I got the bang bang shrimp appetizer so I had a few bites of his steak and my shrimp and it was all good. It was nice for once to eat exactly what I wanted. I didn't have to get a whole buncha other stuff that I didn't want to eat to get to that. It just was:) It's also a rare man that will share his steak with you so I was quite lucky in that as well.
I went outside for a cigarette and had a very charming and persistent younger man attempt to take me home. Very sweet, but, ummmmmm no. What I found odd about this is that I wasn't wearing a shred of make up and my hair was wet from the rain and stringy looking. I was wearing my glasses, a demure shirt and a pair of leggings with my hot pink athletic shoes so I was sure a hot mama tonight! If i could've picked anytime for this to have happened, tonight sure wasn't the evening. Boy must've had a bigtime cougar complex b/c I am certain that I looked every bit my age and then some.
